Luminous, Still

Rafael Ramos
Words & Works of Rafael Ramos
An outline a shape a form, your face dissolving, breathing into space
A figure emerging from light, from shadow almost there yet fading into space

Blossoming

aglow

in primordial

harmony

Your embrace is where time expands

your heartbeat is an echo of quiet thunder

In stillness

I thought I came to rest

I found instead

everything

on fire

A vivid memory

of a dream

an echo

of your warmth

of the trace

of your smile

of your gaze

beyond time

Your body,

sculpted by light

and time itself,

or magic,

primal beauty

My work is rooted in the experience of perception itself — not merely in depicting objects, but in encountering the vividness of reality before concepts fully settle around it. I approach painting as a practice of direct seeing: a way of meeting the ordinary world with freshness, tenderness, and wonder.

Light, color, and form become opportunities to experience the depths of perception — moments where luminosity, space, and awareness briefly reveal themselves as inseparable. It is through the language of paint that I attempt to share my interpretation of this living radiance.
