Saraswatī is the divine creative essence who flows ever towards the Self.
She is goddess of learning, knowledge and vidyā (wisdom), embodiment of kalā (the expressive arts). 
Her sacred origins may be traced to the Vedic civilization that flourished on the banks of the ancient river Sarasvatī. She is also the energy that resides in your thoughts and words, manifested as speech, or Vāk. She reminds you that your words have creative and healing power. In the Hindu images of Tridevī (the triple goddess), Sarasvatī sits alongside Lakshmī and Durga, representing the originating aspect of every manifesting cycle. That is to say, she is the creative power. She is experienced through sound vibration, music, self-knowledge, and the sacred texts.

Soaring on the back of a graceful swan, Sarasvatī invites you to know your true creative power, beyond self-doubt. She represents the refinement of ego into spiritual wisdom through the arts.  Her white sari is a symbol for the pure knowledge of the whole Self.

Beloved Master Teacher, Sreedevi Bringi offers a vision of Sarasvatī from Kundalini Tantra, as "the sublime nectar flowing from the brahmarandra (at the crown chakra) into all yogic channels." Saraswati is the transcendental wisdom, a revelation of our own true Self-longing.

Sreedevi Bringi, MSc, MS, MA, is a native of South India where she received formal training in yoga, meditation, Sanskrit, and Hindu religious and spiritual traditions. She draws on the Goddess traditions of India for her own spiritual practice, finding inspiration in India’s contemporary women saints. An adjunct faculty member in religious studies at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, Sreedevi currently teaches courses, workshops, and retreats on raja yoga meditations, Vedanta, Sanskrit, yoga philosophy, Goddess traditions, and various Indian sacred texts. With graduate degrees in chemistry, atmospheric sciences, and environmental education she is keen to integrate modern quantum holist perspectives into ancient Vedanta-yoga-tantra teaching.
