Beneath the infinite tapestry of stars, the heartbeat of the divine pulses, drawing humanity’s gaze upward in wonder and reverence. For millennia, the star-strewn sky has been a celestial muse, guiding the rhythms of life, inspiring celebration, and weaving traditions into the fabric of existence. Its glimmering expanse has touched not only the human spirit but also the very pulse of nature—shaping the cycles of animals, the turning of seasons, and the dance of life itself.

Empires rose and fell by the parade of constellations; harvests were sown, voyages embarked upon, and destinies written in the language of the heavens. Yet, could these luminous guardians hold more than seasonal sway over our world? The ancients believed so, seeing in them not mere myths but pathways to spiritual ascension, bridges to the divine. Behind their radiant glow lies a higher intelligence, a force that animates life with meticulous order. If the stars orchestrate the cosmos, is it any wonder that our ancestors saw their reflection in the ebb and flow of earthly life?

​To uncover the bond between the stars and the earth is to glimpse the very nature of divinity—the same force that enlivens the heavens breathes life into our world. In this rediscovery, we echo the wisdom of the ancients: life on earth is eternally entwined with the motion of the stars, and the stars, in turn, are bound to the sacred, the infinite, the divine.

I am kind-of a rebel. For as long as I can remember, I have questioned authority and squirmed from the grasp of limiting “realities” to find my own way. Yesterday, one of my soul sisters reminded me: “Shakti, you are a dreamer."

I used to take offense to statements like that...​

​I grew up believing that to be a “dreamer” was a bad thing. That to get things done (and stay out of trouble) I had to be grounded like 💯. 
…but, then again, I am kind-of a rebel. After much experimentation (think hallucinogens, hitch-hiking, and homeless world travel…) I have learned to keep one foot solidly placed on the soils of the human experience, while the other foot hovers in infinite potential. I’m smiling as I realize that this image is the stance of Shiva’s dance.  ​

That is one reason I dig this image so much: It epitomizes the crossroads between manifesting and liberating power. It reminds me that creativity and freedom go together like, well, like Shiva/Shakti. 
I’m still learning how to freely express all the things that my heart is constantly creating; but these days I feel more balanced than ever: hovering in the grace of effort and surrender. 
To shake off limitation, I observe a few rebel rules on the daily. Here they are for you, just in case you need them. If not, no big deal.
