Tim Z. Hernandez is a writer, artist poet and activist. But he is quick to share that his aim goes deeper than external action. 
Sure, his work inspires people to realize the value of their stories, but his impulse toward service comes from a personal journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

Tim advocates for lasting, sustainable change that starts with the heart/mind of each individual. He believes that through personal empowerment, and deeper human connection,  entire communities can be transformed in profoundly positive ways.

In this Soul Artist Conversation, Tim shares time with Mikey Brackett for an inspiring conversation about art, poetry and the role of imagination in healing and personal growth. They discuss the impact of trauma and suffering on the body, the potential for hope and the vital role of contemplative practice.

Together, they construct a family of hope that includes memory, art, identity and imagination.
